Obituary of Pete Hendrickx

It is with broken hearts that the family of Pete Hendrickx announces his sudden passing on June 29, 2025, at the age of 44.

Beloved husband of Ariel Hendrickx for 15 wonderful years. Pete was a proud and devoted father to Ethen Dale, Maddison and Zander. He was the cherished son of Alphonse Hendrickx (Anita Ward) and Lori Nieuborg, and son-in-law to Frank and Darlene Lefaivre.

Pete will be deeply missed by his brother Joe (Malorie) Hendrickx, and brother-in-law Coleman Lefaivre (Leah). He was a loving uncle to Ceilidh and Cassidy Hendrickx, Brody Cahill, and Amrya Cahill, and a proud godfather to Calee Oliver, Gunner Marsh, Lennex Marsh, Oliva Hollingsworth and Liam.

He will be fondly remembered by his close friends Joe Marsh, Tami Ridley, and Bobby Szmiett Jr., as well as by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Pete was known for his charisma, kindness, and infectious sense of humor. He embraced life fully and welcomed everyone with open arms. A passionate outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, and swimming with his kids in the pool. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.

A hardworking man, Pete was the proud owner and operator of Superior Builders, which he ran alongside his cousin Jason Bastiaansen for many years. He loved working with his hands, helping others, and supporting local businesses in his community.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the first responders and the Bluewater Health care team for their compassion and care.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m at DENNING’S OF FOREST. A private family service will take place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
