In Loving Memory of
Ruth Clemens (née McLellan)
August 1929 – August 2025
With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Clemens, in her 97th year. Born in Parkhill, Ontario, Ruth graduated as a Registered Nurse from Victoria Hospital in London in January 1951. That same year, in June, she married John G. (Jack) Clemens, and together they built a home and raised their family on the farm on Jura Line, Bosanquet Township.
Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, her dear son John Mark Clemens, and cherished grandson Jacob Ross Clemens.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters and daughter-in-law, Maribeth, Marnie (Doug), Susan (David), and Cindy, who will forever cherish her unwavering love, strength, and deep faith.
She was Nana to 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Throughout her career, Ruth dedicated herself to caring for others, most notably through her many years of service at North Lambton Lodge. Her compassionate spirit and tireless devotion touched the lives of countless people throughout the years.
Ruth was a woman of deep Christian faith. Her kindness and service to others were the hallmarks of her life. Ruth was also a gifted musician who brought joy to many through her music, often sharing her talents in church services.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her — family, friends, and the many whose lives were made better by her presence.
Ruth’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Sarnia Lambton Palliative team for their compassion and dedication while providing care in her home.
At Ruth’s request, a private celebration of life will be held at the family farm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Teen Challenge and Sarnia Lambton Palliative Care.
Ruth's care has been entrusted to DENNING'S of Forest.
