It is with GREAT sadness I write this. Paul was one of the first persons I met when I moved to Canada, in 72. He was one of the sweetest persons on this planet. I have so many fond memories of him. I stood in his wedding to Brenda...they babysat Julie and Al ANY time I asked them to. He gave me a table that I still have to this very day, and it will forever be called the "Paul Batte table". He laid my living room carpet down in my new house. He came to the house to "tend to the beer" that him and Stan was making....One day, as he was stirring the brew, he dropped the spoon in the bottom of the barrel...well, he had to reach pretty far down to get it...DOWN PAST HIS ARMPIT...and he always wondered why I wouldn't drink that batch! I loved him so much....just like a brother....I could always depend on him for anything I needed. I am so sad he is gone....Paul will always have a special place in my heart...
We are so sorry for your loss, Paul was a truly special person to our family. His hearty laugh and great sense of humour will be remembered and missed by all.
We have always loved being with you, Paul and your best-friend, Barb. Paul, we will miss you, your wisdom, your integrity and your soft laugh. Your spirit will be with us always as we continue to share special times with Barb. Love you, Lyn and Jim
Very Sad to read of Paul's passing. Just seems too soon. Though we lost touch we remember him fondly. Our condolences to Family and Friends.

Words cannot express the sadness we are feeling after reading of Paul’s passing. I worked with Paul for many years at Canadian Carpet Center and will cherish the many great memories of him.
