With his family by his side, at CEE Hospital in Petrolia, on Sunday, May 26, 2019.  Donald Franklin Smith of Plympton-Wyoming, aged 84 years.  Beloved husband of the late Helen Grace Smith (2016).  Dear father of Janice Smith (Ron), Sheila Kerrigan (Denny), Brian Smith (Debbie), Wendy Wilson (Brad) and Shana Smith (Mike).  Grandfather to Kent, Bryce, Heather (David), Dan (Raelyn), Kevin (Kelli), Katelyn and Amy (Fred).  Great grandfather to Mason.  Brother to Jean (2016) and Fraser (2004) Forbes, Eleanor (2013) and Gerald Helps, David and Barbara Smith.  Brother-in-law to Murray and Helen (2011) Smith, Jean and Lorne Cook.  Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Marieta Smith (2012) and his parents, William (1963) and Gladys (1967) Smith.  Don was a lifetime farmer on Douglas Line and an active member of the community throughout his life, volunteering his time with the Forest Agricultural Society, Junior Farmers,

4-H and St. James Presbyterian Church.  Special thanks to the acute care nursing staff at CEE Hospital for their kindness and care provided.  Visitors will be received at DENNING’S OF FOREST, on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home with Rev. Joanne MacOdrum on Thursday morning, May 30, 2019, at 11:00 am.  Cremation to follow.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital Foundation (ceehf.ca) or to St. James Presbyterian Church.  Online condolences may be left at www.forestfuneralhome.com
