Obituary of Lyle Edison Rawlings

Peacefully, Lyle Edison Rawlings, age 89, passed away at North Lambton Lodge, Forest, on August 1, 2019.  Beloved husband of Joan Rawlings (Fawcett) for 64 memorable years.  Dear father of daughter Fran Herriot (Marlin), son in law Gary Galbraith (Sherryll), daughter in law Jacqui Rawlings.

Loving grandfather of David Herriot (Shannon), Heather Herriot (Matt);, Tara Fader (Tim), Shawn Galbraith (Brad), Brent Galbraith (Katie), Michelle Coyne, Seamus Coyne (Faye). 

Great-grandfather of Abbie and Parker Herriot, Taylin Fader, Chloe and Lulu Coyne.  Also survived by sister in law Helen Huctwith (Bob), and their family.

Predeceased by parents Fred & Irene Rawlings, son Neil Rawlings and daughter Catherine Rawlings, brother in law Wilfred Fawcett.  Lyle was a dedicated Rural Mail Carrier for 42 years, also a devoted School Bus Driver for 32 years.  His passions in leisure time included fishing, hunting, and a good game of euchre. Very sincere “Thank you” to Dr. Buckton and all of the caring and compassionate staff at North Lambton Lodge.  

Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Tuesday morning, August 6, 2019, at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Lambton Lodge Auxiliary, Forest United Church, or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.forestfuneralhome.com
