Obituary of Paul Andrew Downing

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, in his 63^rd year.  Paul Andrew Downing, unexpectedly and peacefully, passed away in his sleep.  Devoted husband to Karen McInnes Downing.  Loving father and step father to Nicole Brown (Kai), Ashley McCallum (Jon), Gaige Jackson and Dawson Muir.  Beloved Grandfather of Hailey and Jack McCallum (Ashley/Jon) and Reese and Rener Brown (Nicole/Kai).  Cherished Brother and Brother in law to Tom and Mary Downing and Lynda & Jason Cormier.  Predeceased by parents Bill and Rose Marie Downing.  Paul was devoted to his career in law enforcement and positively impacted so many.  He really cared about people and was always a great listener.  Paul was a bright light in the lives of all of those who knew him.  He will be forever missed and never be forgotten.  A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm in Woodstock at Craigowan Golf Course, Highway 59.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Online condolences may be left at www.forestfuneralhome.com      Funeral arrangements entrusted to DENNING'S OF FOREST
