Obituary of Louis Frank Soetemans

SOETEMANS, Louis Frank Passed away peacefully at North Lambton Lodge, Forest, Ontario on Monday Feb 3, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Born in Pulderbos, Belgium. Beloved husband of the late Anna (Wouters)2013. Loving father of Paul (Cindy), Rita Smits (John), Elsie Devet (Frank), Danny (Rita) & Andre (Kathy). Cherished grandpa to Angie (Chris) Kosturek, Ashley (Ryan) King, Michelle (John) Thompson, Mark (Nida) Smits, Greg (Kim) Devet, Carla (Fred) Leclerc, Laura (Pete) Pastirik, Jennifer (Jeff) Rutledge, Jeff (Michelle) Soetemans, Karl (Jenny) Soetemans, Jason (Leah) Soetemans, Brendon, Bryan, Tyler & Julia Soetemans. Also survived by 20 great grandchildren. Louis is survived in Belgium by his sisters Maria DeSchutter (Nand), Rosa DeVoght, and Gusta Smits (Staaf) and his sister-in-laws Julia VanDen Brande, Martha Peeters (Louis), Rosa Verheyen, Simone Wouters (Frans) and in Canada by his brother-in-law August VanLoy (Mary) and Frank DeBorger. Also, predeceased by his many immediate and extended Soetemans & Wouters family members in both Canada and Belgium. Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Thursday evening, February 6, 2020, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church on Friday morning, February 7, 2020, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
