Rest In Peace sweet Melissa I have such fond memories of looking after you when you were a baby and young child We had so much fun- you loved stroller rides, the playground, the beach and later we had a blast at the zoo. I am so terribly sad for the loss of Melissa. I spent many hours with her when she was young and learned much about compassion and the enjoyment of the simple things in life. One night while babysitting her, she enjoyed a big glass of Pepsi before bed; it was a lesson learned. My own two children were never allowed Pepsi until they were much, much older, and definitely never before bedtime. Her memory will always stay with me. I am so deeply saddened to hear this news. I had the pleasure of meeting Melissa when I was in my mid twenties and she was 16 years old. Nancy and Al were wonderful to me. I remember going to Melissa's birthday parties, playing in the crawl space, swinging on the swing under the stairs (I thought she was so lucky to have a swing inside!) playing ( and eating) playdough and swimming in her pool. I loved that it didn't matter how much time went by in between visits, I always got a big "Amy!" followed by a smacking kiss on the cheek. She was a special friend and she will be missed.
