Corrie you were one of my Best Friends you were so full of light. I’ll never forget the first time we met in Lambton College on the way to class your smile was contagious and so was your laugh and at that moment on I knew we would be best friends. Whenever you entered the room, your smile and laugh could wash away a thousand doubts and all your troubles would melt away. Whenever we would go out you truly were the life of the party and everyone loved being around you your smiles are contagious and everyone around you was always put in a better mood. You were such a great friend always there when I needed you the most I am going to miss you more then you will ever know I love you to the moon and back forever and always ❤️❤️❤️

Corrie was a big part of my life for many years! What a great friend she was! One snow day from school she had slept over and we wanted to bake cookies. We didn't have any eggs so we walked what felt very far in Camlachie in a blizzard to Aunt Jan's just to borrow 2 eggs.
We loved to dress up, do beauty treatments and practice makeup. We did this at every sleepover for years- which was often.
Frog hunting, climbing trees, baking, tea parties, making popcorn with too much butter, being boy crazy, beach days, making up dances, watching chick-flicks, photo shoots, and just spending time together as pre-teens and teens was amazing with Corrie.
Thank you for sharing your daughter with me during those formative years. She is leaving a big hole in the world and is so dearly missed.

I am so very sorry to hear of Corrie's passing. We last spoke in 2018 when she said how much she loved being a mother. Her sweet daughter, sisters, parents and the rest of her family and those who loved her are in my thoughts and prayers. I spent many Friday nights as a kid sleeping over at the DeGroot home watching TGIF. I will always remember Corrie for the kind and beautiful person she was.
