To the Douglas Family and All,
We are saddened by Betty’s death. Betty and Bill came to Camlachie United Church in Centennial year and were ever-faithful members. In the fifty-five years that followed Betty shared her life with us, was a friend to many, and is much beloved and respected as a matriarch of our faith community. She shared her skills and resources as a member of the Board, an active fund-raiser, and others. Her contribution has been substantial. Even more, we were graced by her family. Betty has been a true gift and we have been richly blessed. May God give you peace to soothe you, grace to hold you, and love to comfort you. We are thinking of you and holding you in our prayers at this time . . . with sadness and thanksgiving!
Warmly,
Your Brothers and Sisters
Neighbours and Friends
of Camlachie United Church

Brad, Monica & Family, Joanne, Nancy, Carm & Family,
I was saddened to learn of Betty's recent death. 92 Years of a remarkable life filled with many talents ... and joy of loving and supporting her family. Betty & Bill made many trips to Calgary to visit Geoff ...We all benefitted from her quiet sense of humour and fabulous home-cooking. Geoff always said "Mom came out to spoil me". From what his many friends witnessed,, we all believed this to be true. Betty has left a great legacy of many special memories for us to cherish in the years to follow.
I offer my sincere condolences. Thinking of you ...
In Sympathy & Friendship ...
Nancy McCormick - Calgary

Sincere condolences to everyone. I have some fun memories of Aunt Betty with one of them being from a Stewardson family Christmas party that was at your home. Your family had a game that you had to make the centre piece twirl around in a full circle while the two hands on each end rested on your stomach, well Aunt Betty and Mom got to showing all of us just how it was done. I can remember them laughing with each other at getting the rhythm together to get it to twirl around ( which they did) and the rest of being amazed that our Moms could actually do it so well ( being that it was after all a kids game.lol)
Cherish your memories of your Mom, just as I do of my Aunt Betty. Hugs to all ❤️
Love from Bruce and Marie Allen

Brad,Monica,Joanne,Nancy,Carm, and all of your extended Families,
I am very sorry to hear this sad news about Betty. She was always so kind and friendly in her quiet demure way. I always thought that she was the perfect example of what lady-like should be. I see her in you Nancy, every time we chat. She made the best blueberry cheesecake I have ever tasted and after I expressed this to her I was rhe lucky recipient of many at the Douglas Picnics. Take much solace in wonderful memories. Thinking of you all.
