Nick, I absolutely love you. I’ve known you since you were a little teenager. Too many memories to try to share here. Smif ’n’ Wesson, hiphop night at the trash, our band on tour staying at your place, wakestock after wakestock, Rice Lake, Gold Lake, Papineau Lake, Little Lake, Chemong lake, any lake. Any boat. Any time. The various apartments I had and you had, the parties and good times we had. The mutual friends we kept. The new friends I made through you. So many smiles. I’ve never once had a bad time when I was in your company. There was never a time that I was with you and I wasn’t smiling. You had a genuine heart with pure intention for all people at all times.
It didn’t matter how long we would go without seeing each other; we were always right where we left off.
I know how much you love your children and I hope they know that all you ever cared about was them; family.
We have had countless, deep, one-on-one conversations and I knew your heart and your heart was pure. I consider myself lucky that I was one of the people who had a chance to be your friend, truly.
I love you brother. I miss you. I’ll see you again in spirit.
Rest in peace ‘Olas.

Nick, you were a good man. You had integrity. I’ll miss our laughs and chats we shared. It was an honour to work with you and know you. Still shocked by this tragic news. To Nick’s family… I want you to know that it was evident that he loved you all very much. I worked with Nick a lot and there wasn’t a single time that we were together where he didn’t talk about you guys. I hope you can find some peace in the near future. My most sincere condolences.

Nick loved his family so much. He always talked about the kids and how they meant the world to him. He was so proud of them and would get the biggest smile when he would brag about their accomplishments. It was nice to be able to see him and the kids last year more and it was great they could come to our trailer to have some fun on the boat. Rest in peace, Nick. You will be missed by many. Your days were too short here on earth. Keeping Trina and the kids in my prayers

Nick. You were not only my neighbour for years, you became one of my best friends . You introduced me to your family and became close with all of you. I trusted you and you trusted me not only with your children but with everything that comes with being solid friends. You pissed me off and I definitely pissed you off but we always ended up laughing and hugging it out. Will miss you brother. You have been a staple in life for a long time. Rest in peace.

With such a heavy heart I'm thinking of Nick's family. To you Nick, you were a great friend and coworker to me. You helped me so much when we both started the locating game together. We grew to become good friends and we always were able to have laughs no matter what. Like everyone I'm still trying to understand why crazy things happen throughout our lives, just doesn't make sense. Time heals all wounds as they say, hoping you are resting peacefully my friend, see you when I get to the other side.
Your friend Garry aka "Old Balls" Cumby

Nick......though our life's path took us down different roads I remember with great fondness all the adventures and misadventures we had as teenagers and young adults. So many lasting memories of our times hanging out in Peterborough or up at the lake, cruising in somebodies car and partying when we could, to spending countless hours on the basket ball court challenging each other and anyone that was game and for all the fun times we had just chilling and sharing in our love of rap and hip hop music influenced by our friends while attending Buxton together. It was an honor to have participated and experience the older and wiser Nick at your bachelor party and for Lindsay and I to have witnessed your marriage to Trina. It goes without saying that we were friends and I'm proud to say you were my best friend! Thank you for the lasting memories and for helping shape a little of who I am today. You are and will continue to be missed.
