Obituary of Ernie Thomas

Peacefully surrounded by family at Bluewater Health in Sarnia on Sunday February 18, 2024, Ernie Thomas passed away at the age of 53. Ernie was the loving father of Warren, Samantha, Kristen, and Christopher. Ernie was predeceased by his mother and father Joyce and Keith Thomas. He is survived by his siblings Timothy Thomas, the late Daryl (Buzz) Thomas, Kelley Thomas and Charmaine Thomas. Ernie will also be missed by his grandchildren. Ernie was the special friend of Terri-Lynn Davis. Ernie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Ernie was an avid hunter, fisher, and gatherer. He loved the outdoors. Ernie enjoyed taking his beloved rez dog Hoppy out for bike rides and adventures.

The Sacred Fire has been lit at the family home. Visitation will begin at the Kettle Point United Church on Wednesday February 21, 2024 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday February 22, 2024 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Hillside Auditorium on Friday February 23, 2024, at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Kettle Point Cemetery.
