Obituary of Audrey Matilda Chapman
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother Audrey Matilda Chapman (nee Clemmer) of Point View, Plympton-Wyoming, on July 22, 2024 at Meadowview Villa, in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Bernard (Bernie) Chapman, sister Joan Kitchen, and sister Ann Wiles. Dearest mother of Abraham and Jake (Heather Sipkens), and beloved grandmother of Teigan, Logan, Kylie, Wylan and Lucy. Sadly missed by her dear friend Gernot Stegman, brother Dave Clemmer and Jennifer Pierzchala. Audrey was truly a force of nature and a woman who followed her own path. She was a horse lover her entire life and, when she wasn’t riding or training horses, she could be seen riding her bicycle throughout Lambton County for over 60 years. Never one to shy away from anything, Audrey helped her husband build two houses, was an avid skier and accomplished horsewoman, and welcomed everyone into her home with great kindness and generosity. Her family, numerous nieces, nephews and friends will miss her warm smile; her honest, forthright manner; and the joy she brought to their lives.
Our sincere thanks to the staff of Meadowview Villa who took such good care of our mom in the last few months of her life.
A celebration of life will be held at Ferguson Estates, 4195 Aberarder Line, Camlachie, ON, N0N 1E0 on Sunday, August 25th, from 1pm to 5pm.
