It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Gary Hicks at the age of 72, at his home in Forest, Ontario on Friday, October 04, 2024. Gary was born on September 13, 1952, in Sarnia, Ontario.

Cherished son of the late Bram (Eldon) Hicks of Carmanville, Newfoundland and Ruby Florence Roberts of Indian Islands, Newfoundland. Beloved husband of Donna for 33 years. Dear brother of Rob (Annette) of Sarnia, Ontario and Jeff (Marg) of Sombra, Ontario. Treasured father of Kevin (Cheryl) and Brian (Melissa) of Calgary, Alberta; Melissa (Matthew) of Bellville, Ontario; Dustin of Airdrie, Alberta; Shane (Mooly) of Toronto, Ontario; Luke of Forest, Ontario and Seth (Alisha) of Sarnia, Ontario. Adored Grampa of Emily (Colby) and Kayla of Calgary, Alberta; Dominick of Airdrie, Alberta; Malikhia, Uzi and Jude of Bellville, Ontario; and Hudson and Aubrey of Forest, Ontario. Dear Uncle to Tina, Pam, Shannon and Eric. Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Gary began his journey as an electrician with the IBEW, Local 530 of Sarnia in 1977 and retired at the age of 65. Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held on December 28, 2024 (2:00-5:00 p.m.) at the Point Edward Ex-Servicemen's Association, 503 Michigan Ave, Point Edward, ON. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of your choice.
