It is always sad to learn of someone so young leaving life behind. However, it sounds like Tracy had a full life that was also full of love. I did not know Tracy and her family well. But, I did know Rob when he was just a boy and I was his Sunday School teacher for a period. I had the honor of attending Rob and Tracy's Wedding where guests were expected to sing a few lines of a song if they wanted the bride and groom to kiss. Uncle Mike (Mike Telfer) and I took the microphone. We sang a few words from an old song written by a woman from the Forest area about the road on which I grew up on a turkey farm with my parents, Don and June McColl and my siblings, Lynda, Joan and Allen. The road was locally referred to as "Turkey Road."
We got a few laughs. I can still see Tracy's face as she appeared to love every minute of our performance. The music was the same as "Mocking Bird Hill" but the lyrics were changed to: "Turkey Road Hill" falala, gobble gobble it gives me a thrill, to wake up in the morning to the Turkey Road Hill.
