Obituary of William Turk

TURK, William "Ray" Peacefully at North Lambton Lodge in Forest on Tuesday, January 15th, 2012. William Ray Turk of Camlachie at the age of 93. Ray is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (1998) and survived by his daughter Kathryn (Brian) Downie (nee Turk) and predeceased by his son Ted Turk (2000). Ray will be sadly missed by his grand children Corey (Daniela) Turk, Craig Turk; Fraser, Steve and Brett Downie and by great grandchildren Darcey Turk, Blair Turk and Ryanne Turk. Ray proudly served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1939-1945. Ray was stationed with the R.C.A.F. across Canada and spent his final years stationed in Iceland. After his career with the R.C.A.F., Ray returned home to purchase a farm in Camlachie where he raised a family and farmed. Ray spent his senior years in Forest where he was known for his personality. Visitation will be held at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Friday, January 18th, 2013 from 7-9pm. Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, January 19th at 2pm. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Forest Fair Board would be appreciated by the family.
