When I think of Doris, I remember all the good times we shared, recipes and food preparation. Doris and her husband Mac were also such kind Neighbours! To take my sisters and I to meetings and picnics and to share her tarts and cream pies with us.....mmmm mmm! My recipe book is still filled with good tasting treats with Doris's name signed to them! The family and friends do surely miss her! And I wish all the best to her family and friends in the coming years! She was truly a friend!

Doris was a great community person. Phil & I always enjoyed her company at the local Warwick Fowl Supper, held annually in Warwick Village. As many people know, Doris was a great pie maker, each year she would out do the number of pies she had made the year before. She was especially known to everyone for her Sour Cream Raisin pie. Phil would always try to get a piece of this delicious pie, however, one year he missed out on his piece. So the next year Doris made an extra Sour Cream Raisin pie, and hid it away at the Firehall, so when the work was all done, there would be at least 1 piece of pie left for Phil. However, somebody found the pie and it got served to the public. So the next day, Doris made up a pie, special for Phil and sent Mac out to deliver it. Phil was so pleased when he received the pie, not only did he have 1 slice of pie, but a whole pie. He never forgot that. Doris, was a well know lady around Warwick Twp and will be greatly missed by her family, community and us. Our deepest condolences to the her family and friends.

I am so sorry to read of Mrs. Tanton's passing. She was a beautiful lady whose kindness has stayed with me since 1974 when Dale was in the hospital with my husband..she would bring in huge Angel Food Cakes because it was something my husband could eat. She and Mac made this hard time in our lives so much easier..I will always remember her with a smile and a good feeling..May God give you comfort in your sorrow, Donanne Avery
