Obituary of Cornelia Maria DeGroot

DeGroot, Mrs. Cornelia Maria Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at North Lambton Lodge on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Cornelius DeGroot (2002), loving and devoted mother of Casey (Mary), Simon (Joann), Mary (late John Thuss)(2013), Pete (Marg), John (Sandy)(late wife Nancy, 2000), Angela (Don DeLeemans), and Henry (Teresa). Oma will also be missed by her 25 cherished grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Dear sister of Wim VandenBoer. Dear sister in law of Corrie VandenBoer (Pete), Helen and Joe VanRiel, Joe and Ria DeGroot, Mary and Gus VanLoy, Johanna VanCasteren, and Jan Huijbregts. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Peter, Theo, Jos, Sjaan, Miet, Trees, and Jo. Predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Miet, Regien and Anneke VandenBoer, Else DeGroot, and her brothers in law Janus Huybregts, Kees Aerts, and Jan Timmermans, John and Drik DeGroot, and Gerard VanCansteren. Visitation will take place at DENNINGS OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday morning, April 20, 2015, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
