Lieve Ed, kinderen en kleinkinderen van Sonja. Gecondoleerd met het verlies van Sonja, mijn nicht. Ik ben de oudste dochter van Herman, de jongste broer van Sonja's vader. Ik herinner mij Sonja nog. Sonja is ooit bij ons thuis geweest in de Marnixstraat in Leiden, Zij was met tante Willie bij ons op bezoek omdat zij in dezelfde straat ook haar natuurlijke bezocht die met mijnheer De Vos getrouwd was. Hoe dat weerzien was weet ik niet maar het leuke bezoek maakte wel indruk op mij. Ik heb de foto's van Sonja op de film gezien met mooie muziek. Heel ontroerend vond ik. Wat een blijde oma was Sonja met al haar kleinkinderen. Ik wens jullie, ook namens mijn man veel sterkte voor a.s.vrijdag en een mooie uitvaartdienst en begrafenis.

Dear Ed, children and grandchildren of Sonja. My condolences on the loss of Sonja, my niece. I am the eldest daughter of Herman, the youngest brother of Sonja's father. I remember Sonja yet. Sonja has ever been to our home in the Marnixstraat in Leiden, she was Aunt Willie visiting us because she visited her natural in the same street who was married to Mr. Fox. How this reunion was I do not know but the visit made quite an impression on me. I saw Sonja's photos on the film with nice music. I found very moving. What was a happy grandmother Sonja in all her grandchildren. I wish you, also on behalf of my husband much strength for a.s. Friday and a beautiful funeral and burial.

My thoughts and sympathies are with my Uncle Ed and my cousins, Daniel, Margo, David, and Dean - and all of their children who must be just so sad at the loss of their wonderful Grammie. The love she had for you all shines intensely through her eyes in every photo I saw on that video.
Aunt Sonja always made an effort to see me when I was going to high school in the same town she and Uncle Ed were living, she would take me out to lunch and we would talk. That had a very positive impact on me during those tumultuous teenage years, and means a lot to me that she took the time to do that.
I know that she will be dearly missed. Love, Jody.
