CLEMENS, George Jesse
Safe in the arms of Jesus, Monday, June 26, 2017, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Breckman), and the late Mary Joyce (nee Ferguson). Loving father of Pamela (Rick) Kerrigan, Allen (Sharon) Clemens, Stephen (Kaleigh) Clemens, Christine (Matthew) da Costa, and the late Wayne Clemens. Cherished grandfather of Cathi Jo (Rick) Meyers, David (Katie) Kerrigan, Jessica (Mike) Nowak, Jocelyn Clemens, Kaleb and Luke Clemens, Ben, Rachel, Abigail, and Eden da Costa. Proud great-grandfather of Graydon and Kyle Meyers, Noah and Jack Kerrigan, Everett, Amber, Autumn, and Eilah Nowak, and Amelia and Sydney Shultz. Also missed by Norm and Donna Aitken, Dan and Phyllis McTavish, Pat Harrison, Fran Rinker, Gerry Rinker, Jack Gormley, Beth and Bruce Nutt, and Susan Rinker. Predeceased by his parents Eldon and Noreen Clemens, his sister Marjorie, in laws Malcolm McKellar, Sheila Breckman, Beverley Tyrrell, Bob Knowles, Bob Harrison, Fred Rinker, Al Rinker, Janet Gormley, and Doug Rinker. Also missed by his friends, neighbours, and colleagues. George wore many hats in his life time. He loved farming the land on which he was born. He drove many miles and made good friends as he patrolled his district as MNR Conservation Officer (Fish & Wildlife) for 30 plus years. He was an active charter member of Pinery Baptist Church. George served with a Bible and hammer in his hand. His family appreciates the compassionate care he was shown at Lambton Meadowview Villa over the past year. Visitation will take place at the Pinery Baptist Church (8751 Lakeshore Road, Lambton Shores) on Thursday, June 29, 2017, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at Pinery Baptist Church on Friday morning, June 30, 2017, at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment to follow at Ravenswood Cemetery. For those who wish, in memoriam donations to Pinery Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County would be appreciated by the family.
