It was with sadness that we learned of the passing of Ted Boomer. He was such a nice man who valued his faith, his country and his community. We were fortunate to meet our "distant" cousin at the Anthony family reunion about 15 years ago in Milton, Ontario. He was so friendly that we felt that we had always known him. We will miss his interesting letters and e-mails.
With heavy hearts, we sent our sincere condolences to the family.

I was saddened to hear the news (from my mom Betty) of Ted's passing. But like it says in the obituary, his was a life well lived, no doubt about that. I remember Ted going deer hunting when I was a lad, and he would take just one cartridge with him because, "I'm only going to shoot one deer," And I think he considered it fair to the deer as well.
Rest in peace, Ted.

My brother Ted was my hero. I will always remember him as the one member of our family who could do anything he set his mind to. He was handsome, caring, and very generous. I remember remarking how poor we were before the war and his reply to me was that he never thought of us as poor because we always had a place to live and food to eat. He wanted everyone to be as fortunate as we were. He was a small town boy and proud of it. He was an example to me of what it meant to be a husband and father. Ted and I were the last to leave home and I treasure those years. I might add , he was always my Mom's favourite. He inherited our Dad's love of people and was comfortable talking to anyone. We did not see each other to often over the years, but when we did it was just like I had seen him the day before. I am sad that he had to leave us , but I am encouraged to know that he is with the Lord and that one day in the not to distant future we will be together again.I will always be grateful to Michael for bringing him to Victoria and to Jan , Cathy and Nancy for all the love and care they lavishied on My brother over all these years. We love you all
