Obituary of Dorothy Marguerite Marsh

Dorothy Marguerite Marsh (Stoner)

June 13th, 1932 - August 10th, 2017

In her 86th year, after a truly blessed life and with her family present, passed into the arms of her Beloved Saviour.  Dorothy was the daughter of the late Roy and Sarah Stoner.  Loving wife of the late Stuart Marsh (2009). As kind and patient matriarch of this large family, she will be greatly missed by her children Gary (Karen), Jim and Liz, Marilyn Akey, Robert and Marian, Stephen and Sharon, as well as her sister in law Geraldine Stoner, brothers in-law Stanley, and Harold Marsh. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Dorothy is predeceased also by brothers Gordon, Basil, Harold, and her sister Donna Meerburg, and son-in-law Gerald Akey.  She will also be missed by long time friend Leila Rendle, and many nieces and nephews.   Born and raised in Arkona and a resident of Forest since 1969, she was well known in the community and enjoyed owning and operating Hungry Hollow Donuts with Stuart.  Dorothy was an avid Blue Jays fan and enjoyed analyzing each game with her fellow critics Geraldine Stoner and Helen Waun.

Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Sunday, August 13, 2017, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, and on Monday afternoon, August 14, 2017, in the chapel from 1:00 pm to service time, at 2:00 pm.  Pastor Bob Lewis officiating.  Interment to follow at Arkona Cemetery.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations to the London Health Sciences Centre University Campus Transplant Unit or to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.denning.ca
