To my oldest friends, Ray and Veronica.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you for calling Ray, I know that was not easy. I remember visiting you in Calgary when Chris was a little guy. It was clear even then that he was well loved. Ray, you told me a bit about your eulogy and I salute you for it. Be brave. I know all the cards say "my heart is with you." But mine truly is today - I love you both.

When that beautiful little red headed boy in diapers came into their lives we shared their overwhelming joy, a brother for little Mia, all were so happy. We watched him grow and blossom with his music.
We shared many birthday parties, his wedding, the birth of his children, the pride he showed when his children excelled in the music. We watched and shared many events with Chris, Maria, Ray and Veronica, they are family and now we share their sorrow!
Our deepest condolences to you Robin and the Gould family.

Although I may have not known Chris for very long, I do remember the day I first met him. He was sitting in our office reception waiting to take Robin on their very first date. He was sitting patiently waiting for anyone to know he was there, in his Hawaiian shirt and a head filled of wild curly hair. He was relaxed, more relaxed than I, who wasn't even going on the date..lol From that day forward I watched as he and Robin took spontaneous road trips to concerts, and more planned trips to New York and Manitoulin Islands and of course down south to the sun. It was a whirlwind love affair, and Robin was hooked on his sense of adventure, his intelligence, and proud when she had the opportunity to watch him perform for a crowd.
Through the years Chris taught a few of my daughters guitar, which would have taken a great deal of patience but he loved doing it and they enjoyed learning from him.
We have all had the opportunity to watch Robin and Chris learn together, struggle together and love one another. Something that even in death wont disappear but rather should always be celebrated.
To all of Chris' family and friends our deepest condolences.

I am still at a loss for words. I am still so unsure of how to feel. Chris has been in my life longer than anyone, except for my family. Strike that...Chris was family. We grew up 4 doors away from each other. I have known Chris and called him my friend for over 45 years. We shared a love of music, concerts and the Simpsons (as well as other things). There have been times that we went our separate ways. He went to Germany and Alberta for 8 years. I left for Vancouver for 5 years. We never said goodbye, just see you next time. I prefer not to say goodbye this time either. I will see you next time buddy. Smell YA Later.

My father and I had an unspeakable bond like no other. He taught me almost everything I know about life and about the world. He showed me not to care what other people think of me. He taught me to always follow through on my promises and to always work hard until the job is done. He brought music into my world and taught me to play the guitar. My father was a bright, intelligent and caring man. But he was plagued by many demons. I watched these demons consume him most of my life. As mental illness is invisible, it is hard to address it as it's own entity. If it were, I could say I watched it destroy his life, turn his loved ones against him, and steal his joy for life. Let this be a cautionary tale to us all....take care of your friends and family, treat them with respect and dignity. And most important love yourself, and never give up.
Goodbye dad, the impact you have had on my life is irrevocable.

Dear Chris and Family,
My heart and prayers go out to all of you all in this very difficult and unimaginable time. I am at a loss for words since hearing the news and feel a deep sadness in my heart at losing a wonderful "life long" friend. We met at Laurier and shared a love for music, concerts, football, camping, good times and laughter. Our friendship started in London and lasted through city, cross country and new country moves, enduring challenges of time and distance (Toronto, Vancouver and now Southern California), but you were never scared of adventure or travel and was one of the first friends to visit me in SoCal, and returned several times, making sure our friendship endured despite the distance. The memories made have been etched in time and it's difficult to realize our history has now been cut short. You will be missed. Rest in heavenly peace and light my friend. Until we meet again. Love and blessings to you all. Byron

My sincere condolences go out to all of Chris' family and friends. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. I will cherish the memories that me and Chris shared, especially our time together in Germany. You were my brother in the hard rock army, and I pray that the music will remain forever in your departed soul. Rest easy, friend, and keep the rock righteous!
I also will pray that Chris' family will have the strength and courage to get through this difficult time, and will keep his memory close to their hearts.

I can't be believe Chris has left us. He enjoyed life to the fullest. We met Chris thru 2Ktours, our first trip was to New York City. My mum & dad I went on the bus trip not knowing what to expect but had a great time and made fast friends with Chris. We ended up going on multiple trips with them each one as fun as the first one. Chris got a kick out of my mum (Joan) especially on one crazy trip to NY when we all had a little too much to drink! Unfortunately we lost my mum this past March and I had to go thru pictures for her memorial. I came across the pictures for the numerous trips we had taken with 2Ktours and it brought smiles to both myself and my dad (David). We lost touch with Chris but was always in our thoughts. All the best to the family and we are profoundly sorry for your loss.

I'm very sorry about Chris' passing. I have a lifetime of memories with him. He was always the center of his circle of friends and I admired him for his ability to motivate others to come out and join the fun. I wouldn't know many of the people I do were it not for Chris. His legacy with me will be the many good times and the friends I have made.

To Robin and all of Chris’ family. My sincere condolences to you all.
I had the pleasure to get to know Chris over the past couple of years… jamming together as well as performing musically with our local community theatre. Chris could really shred that guitar. He effortlessly strung together songs into endless melodies (complete with all lyrics). It was unbelievable. But I will most miss Chris’ unpredictable, hilarious, and perfectly irreverent humour. Chris was truly “one of a kind”.
Sincerely,
Rob Tait (Exeter Ontario)

To Robin and Mr. & Mrs. Gould,
We are so sorry for your loss. In the couple years we've known Chris we've heard many stories about his family, friends, and experiences, and it was obvious how much Chris cared about everyone in his life. Never missing an opportunity for a good joke, we have shared endless laughs with Chris, often at our own expense! We were so fortunate to have been a part of Chris' life, we will miss him deeply.
