I was very sad to hear of the passing of Herbert.Thou I didn t know Herbert myself very well I felt I knew him threw my dad.Herbert worked for my dad at Idianhills Golf Club for a few few years and I do remember him during that time.My dad always had abit of likining to Herbert and really believed he just needed a chance.Herbert was always a very good worker and very reliable and my dad always really trusted him.In 1964 the year after Indianhills opened my father was given a award from the Department of Indian Affairs for employing the most number of natives on one jobsite my father was always very proud of that and he treated them with the very same respect they showed him.Before my father died we had a chance to meet and see Herbert again and my Dad so proud of his accomplishes and Educational degree and his proud picture on his graduation My father always cared alot about Herbert and always knew he was a really good and decent person and would do well in the end.My Dad was always a very good judge of people and charachter in his life and always felt he had a bit of a soft spot for Herbert loosing his own Dad at 5 years old.Godbless you Herbert RIP and our sincerest condolences to all of your family.My Dad would have really liked that I took the time to send this condolence out.From my Dad and me Wayne Rankin Forbes.
