I know that this is a late message to his passing but I only just today was reminded of him and decided to see if I couldn't track him down. I studied with Brad at King's College, University of Western Ontario and we shared a couple of World Religious Courses. I got to know him there. His kind heart, great pop-culture and creative passion were all things that connected us together. One of my fondest memories of him was taking about his many ideas of his comic story line and that he wanted to in fact base one of his characters in the story on me (he loved the idea that a religious scholar should be represented in his work (and I think we even discussed how I should be killed off). It was great. I lived with Brad as well while he was working and I was studying. My studies and life took me elsewhere and around the world. I am shocked at his loss even though our paths have not crossed for sometime. It would be great if a family member would contact me. Please reach me at emergechaplain@gmail.com
I am so sorry for your loss, may his Grace and Light continue to be a beacon to illuminate your path.

I lost contact with Brad many years ago. He called my home back in the late '90s but I was out due to being at Canadian Force's boot camp. When I returned he had moved without a forwarding address. Every now and then I've searched for him and finding an obit wasn't what I expected. I'm shocked and disappointed I can no longer get reacquainted with him. I met him at Wheable due to a common interest in writing and fiction. I remember he was working on an idea for a storyline involving Dante's Inferno. I wonder if he ever finished it. Now that he's moved on to a new, and eternal, chapter of his life I hope he fought the good fight and won the race. As for his family, keep in mind that if Brad had faith in the Lord he's assured eternal life. All the cares of this life are now over and eternal bliss awaits. One day when it's my turn to step forth into eternity I'll look him up, and we can share some Taco Bell tacos while we chuckle about the moments we once shared. Goodbye, my friend.

Ah man.
Brad.
Just managed to reconnect with you this last couple of weeks and I noticed you hadn't talked to me since April 1st. This took me right out of left field; I only found out today when I went to harangue you for not messaging me.
For your family -- my deepest condolences. For your loss, for your pain and for the untimeliness of Brad's passing.
For Brad, I'm glad we had a chance to talk and laugh together these last weeks. You were always a joy to talk to. For your kind words and encouragement, for your surprise and your openness, I thank you.
Go with God,
your friend, Dominique.

My sincere sympathies to the Spencer family for your loss.
Brad and I were in many classes together during public school and I have fond memories of the many days after school playing together (especially with his Star Wars collection). Brad's creative mind was always abound and I am reminded of him when I often share with my daughters one of his hand animal creations which he called Cee-boo.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I grew up around the corner from Brad, and we spent many hours playing as kids. I remember working on projects in High School with Brad, he always helped to add a lot of creativity to projects.
My thoughts are with you all.

To the entire Spencer family.
Please accept my sincere condolence over the loss of your dear one Brad. Death leaves a painful memory and its hard to bear, especially of a young man who has a lot more to live for. Personally I have come to realize that relying on the promises found in the Bible is of great comfort. The Bible promises in Acts 24:15 that there will be a resurrection of our dead loved ones and Revelation 21:3-4 talks about a time when death will be no more. These are promises that millions all over the world are looking forward to and I am sure these promises will go a long way in comforting the entire family. Please find time to read those scriptures and may it comfort and soothe the painful memory of losing Brad. May the sure hope that you will see your dear help you through.
Please remain strong and courageous and may the loving support of well wishers and friends go a long way in comforting the entire family at this difficult time.
Best Wishes,
Oti A.
