Jack, Shanti & Gary's family & friends,
We only knew Gary for a short time but we were fortunate to hear him sing a number of times. He was an immense talent and we will cherish the great memories from the nights he sang in Thorndale.
It was special to see Gary and Jack interact as it was clear they were cut from the same cloth - caring, with a great sense of humor and a deep love of life and each other.
We would hear updates on Gary's status and it was amazing how incredibly hard he fought and did it with such grace and positivity.
We are saddened by his passing and our hearts ache for his family and friends left behind. May the memory of Gary's strength and happiness carry you through these hard times.
He is home now "Hallelujah" and the "good times really were so good (so good! so good!)"

I want to send my condolences to Lynda who was such a wonderful wife and best friend to Gary. What a love story!!
So glad I got to hear Gary sing at Thorndale last July.
This was a first for me having lived in Texas for more than 30 years.
God gave Gary enormous talent!!! I was so wowed.
We Harlton sisters (cousins) all enjoyed spending time taking photos with him.
We were so impressed with his extremely positive attitude concerning his latest illness at that time!!
To his brothers Jack and Allen I just want to offer my sincerest condolences.

Gary was such a ray of positive light back in the early '70s when we were in some bands together with a good friend of ours and wonderful drummer/singer Bill Pigram. Gary was kind, fun and hard working...a combination of qualities we should all strive to emulate. Then I moved away for school and work and we didn't connect for about 45 years until a few years ago when I was back in London. At that time Bill's band was playing and he invited Gary and I to show up and play a few numbers like the old days. In those magical few hours together I got to meet Gary's lovely wife and could see how happy they were together. I also got to reconnect and re-experience his wonderful personality and voice. It had been many years but it was just like the good ole days. I was so sad when I heard that Gary had passed. I was also sad to hear he had heath challenges over the past years. My heart goes out to his wife and large family because I know they will miss him so much. I am certain he was an amazing husband, father, grand father and role model. I know one day Gary, Bill and I will be in another band again singing our fave song "All Right Now".
