From those long ago days when Joyce and I would walk together to Mountsfield PS in London until now, Joyce has occupied a special place in my memories. She was an excellent student and classmate and became highly successful as a wife, mother and business professional. That, of course, is no surprise to those of us who knew Joyce. Joyce will be missed very much. To her family, please accept my sincere condolences upon the passing of Joyce.

Our family met Joyce in 1991 at 3 Macs because we found it the most perfect place to relax in all of Ontario. I found her walking up the drive toward the beach. We met right outside Sandtrap the cottage where we would enjoy our vacation for the next 23 summers. Joyce was THE QUEEN of Ipperwash Life for us. If we needed anything or needed to know anything, Joyce was our answer. Our hearts are broken and our condolences go out to all her wonderful family who she so loved and enjoyed! Joyce is an inspiration to truly live the fullest life! Totally involved in her community, both politically and socially, a businesswoman managing a huge operation and completely devoted to family, Joyce did it all in her graceful, quiet manner. She will be so missed by so many

I first met Joyce in 2003. She was a very energetic lady. When I would go to workout there were the Ipperwash Ladies doing their thing. She was an amazing Lady. I also saw more of her when Christine moved to Forest. Her kids went to Aberarder and any concert or play that was on I would see her there. So sorry. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

‎Joyce ‎ As your next door neighbors, we sadly only had but a few short Summers to get to know you. ‎ We are so saddened to hear of your passing. ‎ ‎ You were always such a wealth of information on Ipperwash. ‎ Thank-you for taking the time and sharing  so much of that history and knowledge of the surrounding area with us. ‎ We learned so much about our community from you. ‎ ‎ You just had all the answers. ‎(and if you didn't, it wouldn't be long before you did Lol :) :)‎ ‎ ‎Whether it was just over the fence or sitting at the dining room table, it won't be the same without our little chin wags. ‎ ‎We still can't believe your gone. You will be greatly missed. ‎ ‎ ‎Henry and Paulina Godinho‎Â

So sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. She will be missed by so many. I met Joyce at the local ladies workout facility. I always looked forward to seeing Joyce almost every day I worked. Most of the time she would come in with the Ipperwash gals in tow but there were some special times when it would just be her and we got to have such great talks. She touched so many lives in such a positive way.

After-school milk & cookies in the basement. Road hockey with friends until long past dark. These are some of my fondest memories growing-up with the McMaster family. Mrs. McMaster (Joyce) was a kind woman & loving mother. She opened her home and her heart to the neighborhood. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Sincerest regards, Alan Bradley, Newmarket ON

Our dear friend-we will miss Joyce every day. It will always put a smile on my face when I think of you. You leave us with so many wonderful memories. I will always cherish our many long walks in the woods behind us and the times we got lost and joked about it later, the many beach walks with our garbage bags in tow, our quilting together, playing bridge together, serving on committees together--but I will especially treasure the many little trips we took, especially to New York City when we narrowly escaped super Storm Sandy. In the last few months we texted each other just about every day and she attended her last event --a play in Petrolia with us. That night she phoned and we talked almost an hour to tell me how happy she was to have gone. That was two days before she went to the hospital. So Joyce, my friend you lived life until the end. You are our role model. You will be sorely missed by your many friends and especially this one.

Tom and I were saddened to hear of Joyce's passing. However, comforted to know that she spent her time in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her children, beloved grandchildren and dear friends. Joyce was surely a treasure in the Ipperwash community. Always out and about with meetings, gatherings and get-togethers. Although we didn't see each other as much these days we will miss her. I am sure tho' that Doug was waiting with open arms and a comfy spot beside him on his heavenly cloud.
