Obituary of Eldon Higgins

Peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Charles Eldon Higgins in his 84th year at Lambton Meadowview Villa Petrolia, December 25th, 2009.Eldon is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Betty (nee Bryce) and loving father of Carol (David) Morgan of Oil Springs. Loving grandfather to Skip (Lisa) Morgan of Strathroy and Mike (Shannon) Morgan of Petrolia. Eldon will be sadly missed by his 5 great grandchildren, Abigale, Caden, Cole, Brody and Gavin Morgan. Predeceased by mother Vera (1985), father Thomas (1960), brother Harold (1987) and infant brother (1928). Eldon farmed in Brooke Township for over seventy years before retiring to Petrolia. Visitation will be held at the WATFORD CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Monday, December 28th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will beheld in the chapel on Tuesday December 29th, at 11am with interment to follow at St. James Cemetery. Donations to the Parkinson Foundation or the Lambton Meadowview Villa Activation, an activity Eldon thoroughly enjoyed, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
