Obituary of Carolyn Bragg
BRAGG, Carolyn
December 27, 1954 - April 30, 2019
Surrounded by her family, Carolyn peacefully passed away at the age of 64. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother and a good friend who could always be counted on by the people in her life. She was born on December 27, 1954 to Earl and Vera Kemp of Fullerton, Ontario, and was the oldest of three siblings, Dianne (Ken), Wendy (Terry), and Cliff (Connie). Carolyn was married to her soul-mate Jim for 43 years and she cherished her three sons Jeff (Sara), Mike, and Tyler (Destiny). The presence of her four grandchildren Gemma, Hadley, Landen and Lyla brought happiness and great pleasure to Carolyn’s life.
Carolyn’s kindness, positive demeanour and love of laughter aided in her greatest gift in life of working with young children. After graduating from Fanshawe College’s Early Childhood Education program she enjoyed a fulfilling career working in both the daycare and elementary school setting. She enriched many young lives with her endless patience, friendly disposition and unwavering compassion.
Carolyn loved to be surrounded by music and laughed often. She had many interests but nothing pleased her more than time with family, walking outdoors, gardening and being an active member at Camlachie United Church.
Despite being diagnosed with dementia, Carolyn’s humour, strength, and determination highlighted everything she did in life. This helped her face the challenges that came with living with dementia. Carolyn continued to live life to the fullest, travelling, spending time with family, walking the beach and watching sunsets from her house on the lake.
Carolyn will always be remembered for her big heart, kind ways, infectious smile and providing love that you could always count on.
