Thinking of you all as you gather to celebrate the life of such an awesome person. I’m so thankful to be part of a family that included Shan. She was truly one of the good ones. The ripple effects of her kindness will continue on.

I married into this amazing family in 2003 and one of the first trips my new husband, Paul Phibbs, and I took was to visit all the relatives in eastern Canada. We stayed in the family home where Shirley Ann and her mother lived, and experienced a little of the fellowship and warm hospitality for which they were known.
Shan always kept us up-to-date on family news, or called on us to pray. I was comforted during Paul's illness know I could count on their prayers in return. May you all be comforted to know that she will live on in our hearts, and we can smile through tears as we remember this beautiful soul.

Wendy, Jack and Terry, I am so sorry to hear about Shan. She was a wonderful, kind person. She drove me from Toronto to Sarnia when I was going with Cam and we had lots of time to talk. She was a great listener. She will be missed by many and I am so sorry I am unable to make her funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families at this time.

My sincere condolences to the entire Phibbs family! I was not honored to know, Shan, but having seen her comments on her family's Facebook pages, I could tell that she loved her family and was much loved by them in return. Please know that she will always be with you!

Shan was and will always be a beautiful light in the lives of those who loved her. She was a woman of faith who loved her family beyond measure and a beloved Aunt and Great Aunt. She was a formidable opponent in scrabble, well read and saw the world through a lens dipped in humour. She was my friend. I will miss her!
