We are sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. We are happy we where able to have a good visit with Ron this past summer. Ron played a big part in me getting on with Ontario Hydro. He was not only my supervisor but also became a good friend. Thinking of you at this time. Memories and love never dies , but live on in our hearts forever.

Ron - gonna miss ya neighbour!
I loved listening to your hunt camp stories while sitting on your breezeway…fly swatter in one hand and a brandy in the other. You and Bea travelled all over Canada, the U.S. and other parts of the world. As you told me many times "I've had a great life". Although you were the envy of all the men in the neighbourhood with the size of your garage, impeccable vegetable garden and perfect lawn, you were always so generous with your time, tools and expertise. You rescued me on many occasions when I got in over man head on projects that actually required skills! On those cold and rainy days you and Bernice sheltered Tanner and Taylor as they waited for the school bus - we couldn't have asked for better neighbours. Your larger than life smile and laugh will always be a blessing when I think of you buddy!

What to say , so many fond memories of Ron .. from stories and hot totties on the porch , his expertise at wiring our addition , hiring Cameron to help build margs porch , our kids telling us “ what Gus parents were doing” , the generosity, and can’t forget the laugh. The song “ I’m going to miss her “ ( fishing song) , makes us smile and think of Ron .. we are blessed to have called him neighbour .. cheers to a life well lived

Ron, with his electrical background, generously helped me with a problem, for which I will be forever thankful. His talents were many and varied, especially the garden Hillsboro adjacent to Road . Ron has left us with a wonderful legacy. I only wish,. that I had known him better.

The Brown family have many fond memories of Ron. He was, along with Bernice, the go to person for gardening advice. We often said, "What would Ron do to make .... grow." He was the master electrician at the lift, as well as building the lower landing. He, and Bernice, helped eliminate our skunks and mad racoons. Most importantly, he always had a sunny wave as he worked in the garden and we drove or walked by. We thought the world of Ron.

I remember Ron as an avid gardener at Invercairn Beach. We will miss the tomatoes, rhubarb, cucumbers etc. that he shared with neighbours along with his stories and shy wit. He was always available to consult on household problems and had a number of work-arounds.
We will miss your smiling face and friendly greetings when we passed by walking the dog.

Gary & I met Ron when we bought a cottage in Invercairn and had many interesting chats with him when we would stop on our walks. He always made sure we left with some bounty from his garden. I’ll remember him for the generousity of his time and expertise to the community of Invercairn. Gary & I would often think of him over the winter when we used some of the garlic he sent home with us to Texas. Such a good man!

I knew Ron as the father of a good friend, but he was also a ball coach, a hook baiter, a card partner, a helmsman, and, from the first trip at ten to the last one 50 years on, Ron was good fun around a cottage. Set the hook and have a taste, Ron.
