Michael, Janet, Brad and families; We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. Helen and Ab were wonderful neighbours and I always very much enjoyed their chats and coffee visits when they would drop by when they lived on the farm. I remember even going on a shopping trip over to Port Huron with your mom and Paul’s mom, and Helen always went out of her way to stop and chat no matter where you saw her, and would look out for us like good neighbours do. We still laugh about how every Halloween your dad would tease the kids and pull out his jackknife and chase them and pretend he was going to cut the bottoms out of their Halloween bags. Both your mom and dad were such caring and fun-loving people, with hearty laughs that went right along with the twinkles in their eyes. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to all of you...she will be dearly missed. Paul, Jan, Brittnee, and Cameron Garrett

Helen was a very kind and caring person and she loved to laugh. Even when she had fallen and was in pain there was no way to keep her jovial personality down for long. Helen was always concerned for those who had to wait for assistance to travel from the dining room to their own rooms and would sit with them so they didn't have to wait alone even if they didn't realize that was why she was doing it. We will miss here very much and we will miss her rapid response to the question of 'how are you' with 'Sick in bed!' and then she would laugh - she love to make others laugh. May Helen's family be blessed in knowing that Helen impacted many people through her time at the Manor and at Chapel where she loved to sing. I know that words are so futile during this time of loss and offer little comfort but our Lord and Saviour offers all comfort John 14:1-2 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? God bless each of you and may He give you strength and comfort through your time of mourning. Linda & Ron Dow
